CSA Membership-Produce Shares Available in 2024

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a way for you and your family to participate in sustainable agriculture. Through membership you will gain fresh, LOCAL (Door County), and organically produced food to fuel your bodies and feed your souls. A CSA is more than just a weekly bag of veggies. It is a way to connect with your food, the land, and a community. By becoming a member with Emerald Acres Farm, you are investing in your health and the local community. Membership fees allow for Emerald Acres Farm to thrive by helping pay some of the upfront costs of things like seeds, supplies, labor and other farm related expenses in exchange for food of the highest quality produced to the best of our abilities.
Traditional AND Farm Credit Options to Select From
We are currently offering 2 CSA Options: Traditional Farmer's Choice CSA and Farm Credit CSA (Members Select/Order Items). Both options will include fresh, Door County LOCAL, organically grown fruits and vegetables grown by Emerald Acres Farm. Traditional Farmer's Choice CSA Share Option
This is a traditional CSA in which we will select a variety of fruit and vegetables each week for your order throughout the summer season (15 weeks). Selection will vary based on availability and you can choose either a REGULAR or LARGE size. REGULAR shares are $340 and contain on average 5-6 items per week. LARGE Shares are $550 and contain an average of 10-11 items per week. We also routinely add additional items to our farmer's choice shares when we have an abundance of those items. You may still participate in spring and fall CSA Farm Credit options as well as purchase additional farm products. To do so, you can add funds to your account to establish farm credit.

Farm Credit CSA Share Option (Members Select/Order Items)
Members receive farm credit and select from a list of available items posted in our online store each week. Members can miss as many weeks as they choose (vacation, schedules, etc.). If we do not receive an order from you by the time our online store closes, we will simply not pack a box for you and assume you are not picking up that week. Farm credit can also be used for other farm purchases such as eggs and plants. Members can use their credit during the spring, summer, or fall seasons and are not required to spend their credit weekly or at any other designated interval. However, NO REFUNDS will be given and any remaining balance at the end of 2024 will go toward farm related expenses. REGULAR Shares are $350 to receive $320 farm credit and Large shares are $550 to receive $520 farm credit. The $30 fee helps to finance the cost of the program (Local Line) that allows us to maintain our online store and ordering platform.
CSA Share Duration
- Spring Season: to be determined, weather dependent through June 1, 2024
- Summer season (15 weeks, main CSA Season); Weekly June 13 through September 19, 2024 (NOTE during week of July 4th, pick-up will occur on Wednesday, July 3rd, to accommodate holiday)
- Fall Season (approximately bi-weekly): September 26 through approximately November 30, 2024, weather dependent (TBD)

Pick-up
CSA pick-up will be at Emerald Acres Farm on Thursdays from 4-7 pm. We are located 1 mile south of Sturgeon Bay. We have a drive thru driveway. Produce will be placed in boxes and/or bags on tables labeled with member names. This operates as a contact-less pick-up. We will be available via phone for assistance but may be working around the farm during pick-up time, or having dinner with the family. Address: 6424 Emerald Dr., Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235
Terms and Conditions/Member Agreement
As a CSA member, you share in the risks as well as the rewards of the farm season. Members must be willing to accept the possibility that produce quantity and variety may vary due to weather, pests, disease and other unforeseen factors. Members must also understand that any unused balance at the end of the year (12/31/2024) will not be refunded and will be put toward farm expenses.
Sign up and Payment
A limited number of memberships are available, first come, first served. We are using a program called Local Line to help manage online ordering for our members. Account balances should be available for viewing on demand. A deposit of 50% is due upon reservation of membership; the remaining balance is due July 1, 2024. Members may pay in full upfront as well. If you need to make alternative payment plans, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your situation.
